How can I request a refund?Unfortunately, this event does not offer refunds as all ticket sales are final. Cancellations and exchanges are not allowed.

How much does it cost to register?Pricing varies per event, please check our website on the registration page for specific pricing breakdown. We also offer Sponsor opportunities that include free access and opportunities (provide the link).

After completing the registration, will I receive an email confirmation?Yes. If you do not receive your email confirmation within 24 hours, please check your email spam folder and then contact us through email at: Hiphop@howard.edu

What is included in the registration fee?Access to all live event sessions and sponsored vendor materials. Any live sessions that are recorded will also be made available to all registrants following the conclusion of the event, via an on-demand platform.

Will there be food and beverages on-site?Yes, we will have a few options to choose from various vendors at the Block Party. As for those attending the conference we are providing refreshments and a continental breakfast. Check the agenda for times and availability. Lunch is not provided. Please check your package to see what benefits are offered to you.

Where can I find an ATM on campus?There is an ATM in Blackburn. After going through the main entrance, quickly turn left and you will see it in the left corner.

Where can I find a store on campus?There is a store (and dining facilities) in the basement of Blackburn. You can also find a lot of supplies at the Howard University Barnes & Noble Bookstore. A walking distance from campus, you can find Whole Foods, and CVS.

Can HIP HOP @ HOWARD guests use the Howard University Shuttle?The Howard Shuttle is for HU students, faculty, and staff only.

How do I get to Howard by Uber/bus/etc.?BY TAXI, UBER: use the address for Howard University's small gate. When you exit your ride, enter the Yard through the small gate, whereupon all relevant buildings will be visible. Address to use: 2429 6th Street NW Washington, DC 20059 BY BUS: exit the hotel, turn left and walk two blocks east on O Street to the bus stop on 7th Street. Cross 7th Street and take Bus 70 (marked 'Silver Spring') and get off at Howard Place. [You can use a Metro card or cash. NOTE: The bus does not give change.]

Getting to Howard - Amtrak/MetroAir travelers from Reagan: Take the Yellow Line (towards Fort Totten) and get off at Shaw-Howard station. During rush hour, the Yellow Line may have the Mount Vernon sign, which means it will terminate one station before Shaw-Howard. Simply get off at Mt Vernon, take the next Green/Yellow train (marked Greenbelt/Fort Totten) and then get off at Shaw-Howard. Exit the metro station on the Georgia Avenue side. You can either catch Bus 70/79 at the bus stop right in front of the escalators (using same Metro card you used for the train), or walk 10 minutes to campus. Buy the Metro card at any Metro station (using cash or card). You can use the same Metro card for the bus. Tips for using the DC Metro transit system can be found here. Driving to Howard- 8th Street Parking($10.00 cash for all day) This is the best all-day parking lot to use for ALTA 2023. Cash only. Address for parking lot entrance: 2236 8th Street NW, Washington, DC 20059 1) Drive into the parking lot on 8th Street, after paying the parking attendant. 2) After parking, exit through the small pedestrian gate across from Howard Barnes and Nobles Bookstore. You will be at the corner of Bryant and 7th Street/Georgia Ave. 3) Walk approximately 5 minutes to Main Gate to get to the Yard
